Alyssa Ray, Red Rock Indian Band

Climate Change Panel

Alyssa Ray is a Two-Spirited Anishinaabe woman and a member of the Red Rock Indian Band. She works in her First Nation Community as a Consultation Resource and Technology Administrator. The primary focus of her work is Consultation processes, predominantly related to lands and resources. Through this work, she engages with Federal and Provincial governments and industry proponents on matters ranging from legislation and policy reviews to resource development projects, that have the potential to impact her community. Building capacity at the organizational and community levels is a priority for her. Current Projects include the development of a Community-Led Watershed Management and Climate Change Adaptation Plan, as well the establishment of an Environmental Monitoring program.
